Welcome to Transition and Parent Programs

The Office of Transition and Parent Programs coordinates programs and services that provide diverse opportunities and a set of shared experiences and common information for new students. Transition and Parent Programs facilitates meaningful connections that aid students in personal development, encourage student responsibility, achieve academic integration, and build community as students transition into university life.


January EmBark 2021

Incoming First-Year and Transfer students are required to participate in our EmBark Orientation program that will take place before the semester begins.  Students who are beginning at UNC Asheville in January 2021 will participate in EmBark on January 11-13th.

January EmBark will take place in a virtual format on January 11th-13th for both parents and students.  Students will need to register to attend.  To register, click here

June Parent/Family EmBark Orientation Presentations

We will not be hosting a formal synchronous virtual session for parents.  Instead, we will be hosting a variety of webinars and Q&A Sessions throughout the summer for our interested Parents and Family members. We recorded these presentations and they are available to view:
