Our Orientation Leaders, known as the Blue Crew, play a critical role in introducing new students to UNC Asheville and sharing their experiences as successful UNC Asheville students. They participate in a semester-long course, a regional conference, and a leadership training week in June in order to learn everything there is to know about campus and all the great ways to help you get ready to become a Bulldog!
During the summer, the Blue Crew assists our incoming students and their families in becoming the newest members of the UNC Asheville community, excited and prepared to come to UNC Asheville. The Blue Crew diligently works to ensure that our new students have a positive orientation experience.
Blue Crew Applications for 2017
Want to meet incoming students? Want to develop your leadership skills? Want to be a part of the 2017 Blue Crew?
We are looking for a dynamic and diverse group of students to welcome our newest Bulldogs for orientation in June. Incoming students want to see themselves reflected in their Orientation Leaders and want to make a connection with someone who has already been in their position.
It is our goal to build a team that does just this and we need YOU to apply!
Orientation Leaders participate in a semester-long class to learn more about their leadership style and what is takes to be a mentor for new students. As a part of this class, we attend a professional development conference in March, this year at Georgia Southern University. OLs return to campus in June for one last training week before welcoming over 1000 people to UNC Asheville. It is truly one of the best times you will have as a student!
