There are many great resources available to you as a student at UNC Asheville. We encourage you to take advantage of these by visiting the various departments’ websites, going to the their offices, or by making an appointment with a corresponding staff member.

The faculty and staff at UNC Asheville are dedicated to making your time here beneficial and assisting you in being successful in your endeavors — but it is ultimately your responsibility to take advantage of their help and the corresponding resources.

On-Campus Living: Transfer Living Community

Who:  Incoming and current UNC Asheville transfer students.

What:  Apply to be a member of the Transfer Living Community (TLC).  It’s an on-campus residential community of engaged transfer students.  Discover more details on the Living Learning Communties webpage!

When:  Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.  The sooner you apply, the more likely you are to be selected. Space is limited and competitive.

Where:  Gardner Hall in Governor’s Village.  This is an upperclassman residence hall with suites comprised of 4 single rooms, a common living space, and a bathroom. Take a virtual tour of Governor’s Village!

Why:  To strengthen your UNC Asheville experience, meet other students who have transferred into the university, and participate in a wide variety of co-curricular activities.

How:  Submit your $300 enrollment deposit ($150 tuition deposit/$150 housing deposit).  While completing the online housing application, select the Transfer Living Community from your option of Living Learning Communities (LLCs).

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the Community is full. Call Residential Education at 828.251.6700 to check availability.
